Itinerary
- Day 1Pickup from the airport or your hotel in Medan and transfer to Bukit Lawang, with time to settle in.
- Day 2Set off on the 2D/1N jungle trek into Gunung Leuser to observe wild orangutans and other wildlife in their natural habitat, with a night at a riverside jungle camp.
- Day 3More trekking and wildlife watching, then a traditional tube-rafting float back to the village. Overnight at your hotel.
- Day 4A full day around Batu Katak for gibbon watching and searching for the giant Rafflesia or the Amorphophallus titanum (titan arum), in season. Return to your hotel for the night.
- Day 5Transfer back to Kualanamu airport or your hotel in Medan.
