Overview
This is the easygoing version of our five-day Bukit Lawang trip. Instead of a long expedition, you spend a single night in the forest on a 2D/1N trek — enough to find orangutans and camp beside the river — then swap the trail for the water with a full day of jungle kayaking.
The rest of the time is yours to enjoy Bukit Lawang at its own pace: river tubing, the Bat Cave and the village. It suits travellers who want the wildlife and the rivers without back-to-back days of hard trekking.
Highlights
- Overnight jungle trek with one night camping beside the river
- Wild orangutans, gibbons, Thomas leaf monkeys and hornbills
- A full jungle-kayak day on the clear Bohorok and Landak rivers
- River tubing, the Bat Cave and time in the village
- An unhurried, well-balanced pace
